Theo is a native of Tanzania, where she is licensed to practice law, and she is a licensed real estate agent in Austin.  She is co-founder of the African Business and Social Alliance (ABASA), a cross-cultural initiative established to facilitate trade, investment, social and cultural opportunities between the United States and Africa. The creative force behind Shavanthe, an emerging fashion brand she founded and manages, her designs have been published in magazines and featured at Austin Fashion Week, where the mash up team took home the People’s Choice Award on two occasions. She has served as a board member at Furaha House and volunteered with KCOP as a radio programmer.  She is a Swahili translator and founded the International Multicultural Community in Austin, which promotes multicultural awareness and diversity.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, networking, volunteering, creating African designs and organizing events and festivals.  The Andrew family is originally from the Kilimanjaro area of Tanzania and most of the African-based family now lives in Dar es Salaam.  Her US-based family lives in Austin, Texas where she is a wife and mom to two beautiful daughters.
